Welcome
to the E21 Webring Home page!
Visit the E-21 Webring Hub page. The E21 Webring is navigation system linking a variety of web sites with one common interest, BMW's of the E21 bodystyle. To learn more, read the answers to the questions below.
What is an E21?
E21's are the original 3-series BMW automobiles. They include the 315, 316, 318, 318i, 320, 320i, 320/6, and 323i models produced between 1975 and 1983, as well as tuner cars produced by Baur, Hartge, AC Schitzer and Alpina and others.
While most people in the U.S. will only be familiar with the 320i, this webring encompases all E21 models produced and owned throughout the world.
What do I have
to do to join the ring?
Joining the ring is a matter of a few easy steps.
You need to sign up and get a Webring.org ID.
Follow the rest of the steps to submit the URL (web address) of your site.
The webring administrators will then review your site.
If we decide to deny your applicaion, we will send you a message explaining why.
If we feel your page is appropriate for membership in the ring, we will let you know, at which time, you will need to add some simple javascript code to your page. We will show you how. Read on.That's it!
What content does my website / webpage need to have?
Your web site or web page needs to focus primarily on E-21 model BMW's. If your E-21 page is part of a larger site that is not E-21 specific, please submit that page that is E-21 related.
Please keep in mind that our intentions are to create a personal BMW E-21 community, and your page should reflect that interest. If you are not sure, feel free to navigate to other sites currently in the webring.
Note: The RingMasters reserve the right to accept, reject, or suspend ring members at their discression.
Above it says I have to add some javascript to my page. What does it do?
Once your page is accepted, you will need to add the Webring Navigation Bar to your page. This is NOT optional. If you join, and do not add the navigation bar, you will be warned, and then removed if you fail to comply.
To get the navigation bar, you need to visit the BMW E21 Webring Hub page and click Get Navigation Code under Member Tools. This page will show you what the bar will look like and give you the code for YOUR member ID. Only use this specific piece of code. Add it to the page with the address you submitted ONLY. If you do not know how to do this, there are instructions on the page containing the code. If you want an HTML version of the bar, you can click the link at the bottom of the "Get Navigation Code" page. You can see an example below:

What can I do if I want to use a different navigation bar?
There is an alternative way to add navigation to your page. However, it is more complicated and more error prone. If you wish to use a different form of navigation, contact the RingMaster.
Wait! I have more questions!
Direct additional questions to the RingMasters, Brandon and Robert.
